With the support of Dr. Irene Tang AYP International Exchange Fund, after completing nearly six months of hiking and biking training, the participants finally headed to Taipei on 16 April. They were fully prepared to begin a four-day assessment journey upon arrival. This event was AYP's first Adventurous Journey conducted in a mixed mode, combining hiking and biking challenges, which allowed participants to experience challenges while enjoying the rich landscapes and natural scenery. During the four-day, three-night journey, participants faced various challenges, including climbing Taipei City’s highest peak, Qixing Mountain (1,120 metres), and biking from Keelung to Shilin on the final day. Despite encountering unexpected difficulties along the way, their determination and perseverance never wavered. The activity not only helped them meet the Gold Level Adventurous Journey requirements but also provided a valuable opportunity to explore forests and cities beyond Hong Kong. |
